With Tadabase API, you can now manipulate records quickly and easily using industry standard REST API.
We’re excited to announce our newly released and highly requested Tadabase API!
Over the past several months we’ve received many requests to incorporate Application Programming Interface (API) access, and we’re so pleased to announce that the time has finally come to take Tadabase to the next level of connectivity.
What can I do with the API?
With Tadabase API, you can now manipulate records quickly and easily using industry standard REST API.
Until now, Tadabase app records have been modifiable in one of two ways:
- Create/edit/delete via the builder
- Create/edit/delete via the app’s user interface (UI)
While these methods afford a great amount of flexibility, we identified an undeniable need to allow external applications to modify Tadabase app records. Opening up API access means every Tadabase application instantly works with myriad enterprise applications on the market today!
All of this sounds great, but how does it work?
Great question, thanks for asking! The Tadabase API is RESTful, contains predictable resource-oriented URLs, accepts form-encoded request bodies, returns JSON-encoded responses, and uses standard HTTP response codes, authentication, and verbs.
For those of you already familiar with common API practices, get ready to celebrate because our API includes the ability to:
- Create multiple API keys
- Restrict each key to specific verbs (GET, POST, DELETE, etc.)
- Whitelist of blacklist IP addresses for each API key
- Create API keys that restrict access to specific data tables
- View logs and troubleshoot API requests (on dedicated plans)
API Limitations
API Limitations are plan dependent and can be found on the pricing page based on the plan you're subscribed to.
Tadabase Developer Portal
Coinciding with our API release, we’ve also launched our new Tadabase Developer Portal which contains a wealth of information about the API, replete with detailed descriptions and examples to get you up and running!
We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback, questions, and experience with our new API, so be sure to chat with us via email at support@tadabase.io or directly on tadabase.io.
Thanks for sharing in our excitement as we continue on in our journey towards building the best no-code platform. Happy Building!
